WE ARE CLOSED
Season 2019 is over
Annual closing to individuals from December 2nd. to January 31.
COME AND SEE
The Villeneuve water-mill, on the fringe of the Rambouillet forest, 45 minutes from Paris, was the residence of two famous writers of the 20th century : Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon.
Built many centuries ago, the old water-mill was often a source of inspiration for these artists. Here they wrote some of the most beautiful pages of French literature.
Nowadays the estate, where both their living quarters and their grave are located, seeks to perpetuate their memory, to provide research facilities, with a library containing over 30 000 books, and to support contemporary artists and creators.
Exhibitions (of painting, photography, sculpture) as well as meetings and entertainment are held there throughout the year.
