Robert Combas is a figure in the punk movement. He dips his brush in humour and poetry, and his paintings face the tragedy of our history.
COME AND SEE
The Villeneuve water-mill, on the fringe of the Rambouillet forest, 45 minutes from Paris, was the residence of two famous writers of the 20th century : Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon.
Built many centuries ago, the old water-mill was often a source of inspiration for these artists. Here they wrote some of the most beautiful pages of French literature.
Nowadays the estate, where both their living quarters and their grave are located, seeks to perpetuate their memory, to provide research facilities, with a library containing over 30 000 books, and to support contemporary artists and creators.
Exhibitions (of painting, photography, sculpture) as well as meetings and entertainment are held there throughout the year.
The artists have taken possession of the park to invite you to take a stroll. New works by Joe Neill and Ghislain Delusseau joined the collection during the new season in the Sculpture garden.
The park and the exhibitions are open to individuals every day from 14:00 to 18:00.
Commented visits of the appartment museum are held on saturdays, sundays and public holidays from 14:00 to 18:00.
On weekdays, one guided tour at 16:00.
Annual closing to individuals from December 3rd. to February 1st.
